Because these are hand made, one-of-a-kind creations, the price is very much dependant on design and materials. As a general rule of thumb most desktop humidors fall into the $800 to $1100 range. For a better idea of what your ideal humidor might cost take a look at the prices on the example humidors (see the Examples link above).
There are a few basic limitations. I work in wood, so I don't make metal boxes, or plastic boxes. I also line all humidors with Spanish Cedar, or (rarely) with Mahogany if it specially requested. With those basic rules in mind, almost anything else is acceptable. I can make the humidor from almost any type of wood you would like, although some woods may impose design limitations and others may be difficult to obtain. I can also inlay most materials that you may want, from wood veneer, mother of pearl, silver, gold or almost anything else. If you want something specific, drop me an email, and I'll tell you if it can be done.
Payments can be made by check, cash or credit card. Credit card payments are handled online through PayPall and are therefore secure.
Once we have agreed on a design (usually requiring some email or telephone conversations) I request a deposit before I actually begin construction. Depending on the agreed price, the deposit will usually be in the order of $300.
