Frequently Asked Questions
Each humidor is hand-made to order, so the actual
construction time varies depending on complexity, but time
from order to delivery is usually in the order of two months.
Things that could increase this time are;
An unusually rare or obscure wood is requested,
The design or decoration are unusually complex,
The number of prior orders already being worked
How long does it take to make and deliver a humidor?

Q

A
Because these are hand made, one-of-a-kind creations, the
price is very much dependant on design and materials. As a
general rule of thumb most desktop humidors fall into the
$800 to $1100 range. For a better idea of what your ideal
humidor might cost take a look at the prices on the example
humidors (see the Examples link above).
How much will a humidor cost?
Q

A
There are a few basic limitations. I work in wood, so I don't
make metal boxes, or plastic boxes. I also line all humidors
with Spanish Cedar, or (rarely) with Mahogany if it specially
requested.
With those basic rules in mind, almost anything else is
acceptable. I can make the humidor from almost any type of
wood you would like, although some woods may impose
design limitations and others may be difficult to obtain.
I can also inlay most materials that you may want, from wood
veneer, mother of pearl, silver, gold or almost anything else.
If you want something specific, drop me an email, and I'll tell
you if it can be done.
What materials can you use to make the humidor?
Q

A
Payments can be made by check, cash or credit card.
Credit card payments are handled online through PayPall
and are therefore secure.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Q

A
Once we have agreed on a design (usually requiring some
email or telephone conversations) I request a deposit before
I actually begin construction. Depending on the agreed price,
the deposit will usually be in the order of $300.
Do you require a deposit?
